I live in a pastoral country setting;a small hobby farm surrounded by many beloved (and spoiled )creatures.I am a working artist influenced by my rural backdrop and creating diligently and enthusiastically out of my haunted historical studio in Owen Sound Ontario. I am drawn to our collective histories and an imaginary world of those who walked before us. I am a collector of ephemera, memories and rich discards ..Certainly treasures to be refashioned into new art.My background is editorial illustration and I am a visual storyteller. Rescuer of stray memories and strands of past lives. I believe in the transformational and healing qualities of art. It should always be joyful and full of many layers.
ONE sure thing about the change of seasons in Canada is the predictability of awakening bliss when the world comes to life once more..buds,tulips ,crocus all herald the promise of summer's bounty
the creatures definitely celebrate this change of season too

I love seeing all your critters living so happily. I have just two dogs now, but I've lived with lots of others over the years (birds, cats, farm animals, horses, etc). I find that I never tire of their funny antics or of just watching them be. Each time is like the first time.
Carey..they are a bundle of pleasure for sure..even with the responsibility of care- they offer in return relaxation and respite from the world.. and I agree they are quite comical as well..I'm sure even having 2 dogs has it's rewarding moments ;-)
